For the quilter in your life, few things are more exciting than a basket of quilting fabrics and sewing notions. To delight the senses of your special quilter, make a quilter's gift basket.
To begin select a decorative basket or a sewing basket. Line the bottom and sides with one yard of fabric that matches your quilter's taste.
Fill the basket with an assortment of sewing notions and fabrics.
Fat Quarters: You will find these already cut and folded in the fabric store. You can buy one for around $2.50 or you can purchase a bundle of 8. These bundles have been chosen as a set with coordinating colors and patterns. Pick a color scheme that matches the colors your quilter usually uses.
Precut Cotton Fabric Squares: Believe it or not, ebay offers a nice selection of new fabric in an assortment of squares. Try the ever elegant white-on-white patterns. These can be used in almost any project.
