Do You Make Your Children Happy?
A look into teen stress-ors and behavior patterns.
A large percent of teen parents are not involved with their teens. Not because they don't want to be but because they think their teens do not have the kind of personal life that they really do. Teens are famous for hiding their emotions and keeping their social lives out of the home private. Not because they want to but because their afraid of more involvement making matters worse. Even though sometimes matters can be so bad they cannot get any better without involvement. Or maybe your teen just has the "I'm old enough to make my own decisions," alter ego down way to well. But really in a larger percent of teens they think their ready but they really don't know. To a teenager everything looks so much easier until you try it.
You will find that everyday things that you encounter in your life don't affect you as badly as your teenager because you've seen it many times before, but with teenagers they don't understand their just making their way into "the animal kingdom."
You will find unmanaged stress leads to anxiety, with drawl, aggression, and physical illness. When your teen acts out first thing you think is do like you've always done before they were teens. Punish them until they learn not to do it again their only trying to get under your skin to get what they want. But in most cases what your doing is taking a "troubled teen" and locking them with them selfs where they will daunt on their troubles along with the troubles you have just instilled on them and make matters much worse.
Their is an alterer way of raising a teen, teens are not your little baby's anymore. Nothings as easy as no and go sit in the corner. Or no more Nintendo till you think about what you've done. No your onto a whole new level. Everything you do, everything you say, anything that happens around you and your child anywhere at any given moment can end up either meaning the world to them or totally ending it.
You will find yourself in a place where your afraid of what you should say in certain situations where you know if you don't say it right your teen could take it to heart and hold it like a knife into their backs for the rest of their lives. The teen phase is vital, one of the most vital times in a persons life. Typically a teens life depicts the rest of their life. Based on experiences, thoughts and feelings. The things a teen feels "for females." Are going to be seen back on as some of the worst and most passionate feelings they had ever experienced.
Parents of teens must be very sneaky so to say keeping an eye on hints in behavior patterns and key words your teen may say now and again in a none serious manor which may be actually coming from something allot more serious then you think. Parents should always show that they care, they should try to support their kids in any way they can. A child's social experiences at home will depict their social capability's outside the home. And a parent should always express ones feelings openly to their children this helps build a trust bond, a child thinks if their parents are so open about their life with me, I can also trust them. In this also comes the rule try to be understanding do what you have to and never take it overboard. A child will only confide in you if they believe you will help them and not respond in a negative manor.
Other things that also help teens cope is having a healthy clean group of friends and hobby's like music, drawing, writing or having a pet around to help ease comfort levels. Clean friends are a vital need for teens. Teens will follow other teens just like they have followed you in their previous years. They have new people to look up to and learn from. Always try to stay keeping your teen open and comfortable about talking to you about their friends and bringing their friends around. The more you get to know their friends, the more you will know about their lives outside your home. The more positive people the better, positive friends means positive peer pressures and influences. And remember no matter how troubling your teens friends may seem allways treate their friends as if they were your own children but mind your limits. You may not be able to stop who your teens hange out with but if you build a trust with their friends you could help their friends become better people for your teens to be around.
